Description
The Colosseum or Coliseum, originally the Flavian Amphitheatre (Latin: Amphitheatrum Flavium, Italian Anfiteatro Flavio or Colosseo), is an elliptical amphitheatre in the centre of the city of Rome, Italy, the largest ever built in the Roman Empire. It is one of the greatest works of Roman architecture and engineering.
This last upload in my Rome series is for Ilona (Ladonna), a great artist and a lovely friend of mine here at RR !

Wonderful sense of scale! You've captured so much of what this singular, ancient piece of architecture represents. I love the pale sepia tones as well as the clarity of the image itself. The grandeur of ancient Rome definitely lives in photographic works such as this!

le Coliseum est évidement un haut lieu de Rome pris en photo un nombre incalculable de fois. J'aime bien cette foule qui converge vers les diverses entrées.
