Description
Captured 3/5/08, around 6:50 AM, exactly .65 miles/1.046 kilometers from my redux residence.
The Interstate 5 Freeway, a major arterial link traversing the West Coast of the United States, beginning/ending at the Mexican border and ending/beginning at the Canadian border (British Columbia).
Both shots taken looking southeast.

"Quote of the day: happiness is being the only vehicle on the road." Unless your a woman with a flat tire!!!LOL

pryor_chris: In that event, just call the Auto Club, or some other vehicle service outfit, on your cell phone for assistance. Or, just change the tire yourself!

Excelent double shot of the busy freeway. 2 shot made just a secs apart yet so much change in a lanes. Middle lane hardly moves but the inside one is looks pretty fast compairing a cars positions. Is the grey 4x4 speeding?
goodoleboy
Is the grey 4x4 speeding? Tunde: it's not going any faster than the traffic it's driving alongside. The speed blur is a result of the angle of the shot. The blur diminishes as the traffic proceeds into the distance.

Great shot, sure shows what it's like down there and why I so DON'T miss it!! My commute the whole time I worked was 10 miles, 10 minutes door to door, talk about being spoiled!!

I wonder what those circles are in the pavement. Aliens? Crop circles? The last time I was down there was in 1981, and it doesn't look like they've done a bit of road improvement on I-5 at all!

Fascinating!

Interesting series experimenting with lines. An all too familiar sight - one I am luckily spared of, I live where there are much fewer cars about.

Now I can see the noise wall better and that it has decorative stripes near the top and is made of blocks. It reminds me of a day I went out Westminister Blvd. before the San Diego Freeway went South of 7th. The coastline threw me. I thought I was going East.
