Description

East Sands in St Andrews at sunset. I believe this is one of the few scenic spots in town I've yet to post a shot of and have been wanting to get a good sunset/sunrise here for ages. After the afternoon outing which yielded yesterday's post I headed home, met a friend for a drink then rushed out to the beach as quickly as possible. The sun was in an awkward position so I had to run a good half mile or so along the beach and around the slippery rocks to get in any decent kind of spot before the light faded. Ended up right round on all kinds of jagged rocks but found somewhere sturdy enough to set up and managed to fire off a few shots just in time. Pretty tiring day in all but good fun =) Have a great Sunday, Adam P.S bit sharper fullsized

It's got that dark light area thing going on from the processing again (like the rooftops of the pano we were talking about) - i might get rid of the ghosts on the beach ;). But well done for getting out there - i never managed it properly (on a good day), looks great! Composition is the best for the place if my memory serves :) Next is to get sunrise over that climbing rock about 500m behind you - do that and i'll be pretty impressed - but dont kill yourself in the process ;)

Your efforts have been rewarded. This a wonderful and tranquil sunset. I love everything about it, the color of the sky, the reflections in the water, and the silhouetted skyline. Bravo!
