Description

...Yet another remake of one of my old Vue 4 scenes. For some time I wanted to see this "theme" rendered with the powers of Vue Infinite (ecosystems, global illumination etc). But the old file, I found out, was placed on a back-up DVD which was corrupted somehow. So I had to rebuild the scene completely :)Now, for comparison, the first version can be viewed here: and you'll see that this new version isn't all that much better. But that's because the first version was quite good (IMHO, at least). I've modeled the trees in Onyxtree, textured in Vue. The flowerplants are free XFROG models. Castle by Alain Garcia, Jaguar car from PlanIT 3D, cobblestone texure by Linda "frenchKiss" - thanks! Vue 5 Infinite render, Global Illumination with imagebased lighting. Touch-ups with Photoshop. Thanks for taking a look, comments etc. very much welcome. Have a nice day - Lars

You did a Fabulous job building everything in the proper place as compared to the first scene, but for realism there is no comparison, this one is hands down better!!!!

The Vue4 version was really good but this is much better, specially the lighting, which makes this look almost like a photo. Excellent job indeed. The only thing I prefer in the Vue4 version is the puddles, which seem more natural looking to me. Just one note: that bigger pool of water on the left, in the Vue6 version, because it exactly ends where the back wheel is, gives me a strange sensation, like if there's a hole just behind the car. When I first looked at the image, I had the feeling the car was about to fall back into that hole, I couldnt understand it was a pool of water. Then I looked at the Vue4 version and I understood. Maybe it's only me, so dont pay much attention. :-)

The tree in the foreground looks very much like a chestnut. If that was your intention than it convinced me.
