Description

As I was walking along the Atlantic coast last month in Georgia, I saw all kinds of new birds. Lucky for me, there was a sign with fotos and descriptions of the most commonly seen in this spot. I believe this is a tern of some kind (from whence the title springs!!), but if I'm wrong, I hope someone will tell me!!

Sorry can't help you with the name Marilyn but its a fluffy little tern if that's what it is. An excellent capture of it on this barnacle covered rock, You have better luck with your bird shots than I did with mine at the Zoo, all I got was netting. Lol. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

it looks like a Turnstone to me, so your title is apt. (in the US, it is known as Ruddy Turnstone)

He's certainly busy and must have found something very appetizing on that rocky area.

Hey, you're as punnish as me! Tern for Turn, indeed. Actually, when all is said and done, ternabout is fair play. Love the clarity, colors and light/shadow effects, especially in the disheveled feathers, Marilyn!

Oh, I love it and I want to take it home with me! Those ruffled feathers are great and make it look so vulnerable. Splendid.
