Description

The Balance Has Been Upset {Northern Lights VI} Balance! Balance and pivot! on the heels girls! of your feet!! Teli pull your head out...! Dam that Kwan yin, I wish she would leave my girls alone mutters Daiyu as she heads towards Mariah and Teli with training staff in hand, while the Imp leans against a column in the background taking it all in with a bemused expression on her face. Mariah and Teli; twins considered by most Kuei-Jin the future of the Kindred. While only neophytes they are both superior warriors who's fighting and tactical skills are of such superiority that most of their klans-women say they are matched only by those of Kwan yin herself. Sometimes called "Daughters of the Dragon" they were bourn on the same island in the straits of Taiwan off the coast of southeastern China as was Kwan Yin. It is said their Mother Lin Mo Niang had performed numerous miracles during her short life. A kind-hearted girl with vast knowledge of Chinese medicine, she was known as a healer, curing the sick and teaching people how to prevent illness and injury. Many of the miracles she performed involved quelling storms at sea, so it is hardly surprising that her daughters would be named Mariah; which means Wind, and Teli; meaning Tempest. Legend has it that at their births the room was filled with brilliant light and the fragrance of fresh blossoms, and as newborns they were strangely silent. Alert and healthy, they did not cry at all during the first month of their lives, leading to parents and other islanders calling them Mo {which means "Silent Ones"}. Later this name would give way to Wu {meaning "Mist or Haze"}. This also played well as the paleness of their complexion was liken to that of a Mo Wu or silent mist or haze. As they grew it quickly became apparent that both Mariah and Teli were gifted with remarkable intelligence and an eidetic {photographic} memory. The possession of supernatural powers soon apparent as well, and once word of the two children had reached the kindred of the Kuei-Jin, it was not long before their parents were killed and the two children vanished from the Island. It took I don't know how many tries to get this one to render. I could not add any more props or any lights other then the basic ones, but since the mood and atmosphere is one of a very drank overcast day I think I came close to the effect I wanted. Also my system took a very hard crash and still not up to speed so please forgive my lack of commenting. Thanks for viewing Steel
