A beautiful macro Mick. I love the detail in the coat of the squirrel and the dof. It is funny, you count your nice days when there are three. We had a chance of rain today, but in Phoenix nothing materialized. This makes it 72 days since we had a trace, and 74 days since we had 0.01-inches, Sig..

A great shot, Mick! I've never achieved a decent pic of the little blighters, they eat the ends off the new bamboo shoots this time of year so although I would never hurt them I'm inclined to chase them off. It's a love hate relationship! Your photo is perfect!

These grey's are the reason there are no reds Mick, although you have a better chance of finding the reds up north than we do round here. There is a place near Southport where the reds are established, but only because it is managed. The places in England are very few where you can find them, they much prefer the pine forests of Scotland and the greys don't like the cold up there. Superb capture of this one though, he has let you get pretty close up, are they fed by the public like the ones in Heaton Park where Alan and I went? Next time you go take some monkey nuts with you. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!

Cute one! It looks like this one has a little brown mixed in his fur. Maybe they cross-mated? Wonderful capture. I think squirrels are hard to capture.
