morning all :o)
the weather forecasters were saying rain for bank holiday monday so we put off a trip to kielder reservoir and guess what they got it wrong again .we ended up with a glorious day yesterday warm and sunny ,so we went roller skating (well i did`nt) at albert park middlesborough and had a great day out .this is of course june and ashleigh with my youngest lad kevin .
will get caught up today .thanks for looking and take care :o)

I love this, roller skating is another of my favorite things! I have an old home movie of me flying down the sidewalk, the last scene is just as my skate came off (they were the old kind that attached to your shoes, and I suppose that's gonna date me for sure!!), and I started going down!! My mom stopped the camera to pick up the pieces; I left a rather large part of my knees on the sidewalk!!!

Kevin and June are certainly having a laugh Mick, Ashleigh looks to be caught up with something else, but it's pretty obvious they are all enjoying the event. You're like me mate, sensible when it comes down to wheels under the feet, I prefer four of them, one on each corner whith comfortable seating. Super action shot of family enjoyment. Bravo!!!!!

Gosh! well done June! Like Jeff I don't do slippery sports, in fact dry sport isn't too much of an option for me, you can't fall down in water! A lovely happy shot, Mick, great to see!

I have roller skated years ago.never was any good but it is fun if you do not fall.unfortunately for me I found out the hard way.the forecasters only guess abut the weather then Mother nature does what she wants.beautiful capture Mick

A fun capture. Very lovely and it projects such a joyous moment in the day. My mom went roller skating with me when I was 9 and she was in her early 40s and she fell...broke her right arm in 4 places! I had to shift gears for her on our old Ford (this was back in 1960)all the way to the hospital. No cell phones then so I had to rummage her purse for change to call my dad on the pay phone in the hall. I never let her go roller skating with me ever again! (Her next fall was in a horse pasture 2 years later when she went out to feed my horse and she stepped in a gopher hole - broke her right knee! and yes, I mentioned right knee because a year later she fell over a foot stool in our rec room and broke the left knee ...but that's another story...)

Great family fun shot! I used to have a pair of roller skates as a kid and was pretty good down the street lol. The last time I had a go was in Bolton about 30 years ago (well I was 17 so 33 years back) Don't think I could stand up on them now. Always see people laughing at each others lack of skill though don't ya ?
