Description

This was an experiment to see if I can keep the clouds from a Terragen image after replacing the background. First, I created a new image in Terragen that had a normal sun the same size and color as the one shown here. I then cut away the sky. In a new layer, I created a star background with Glitterato. In another new layer, I created the high energy sun and placed it in the exact position as the previous sun. This was done to match the shadows on the terrain. I then cut the clouds from the original image and pasted them here. I adjusted the clouds to make them look a little more natural in this setting. Enjoy!

You've got your technique down for the postwork - now focus on refining the Terragen aspects like atmo and surfaces. That's what makes the image!

Agree with Rich....the post work is cool but the main focus should be on the terrain and surfaces....the TG part...I know I do alot of postwork on the backgrounds but...the whole image must flow as one....this is a good start :)
