Description

The love We need so much Lives in a mother's touch. Credits: Created in Photoshop CS, using photo and painting techniques and Heavenly Brushes by Ravnheart. The story of the birth: This little foal had a will to be born. And a stronger will to survive. He was in the wrong position and had to be turned inside his mother. And when he finally came out, exhausted, he lay in the hay, unable to stand. The foal desperately needed his mother's milk, but she didn't have enough. So the owner gave her a shot to stimulate her milk, which was dangerous but without it the foal would not survive. And finally the life-giving milk came and the owner extracted some and fed the foal through a tube. The mother and foal lay together for a long time, sleeping, gathering their strength, and finally their noses touched in a kiss of life. This tender picture was given to me by Ilona Krijgsman (vlaaitje), who watched this life and death struggle. The tears and true joy came when the foal finally had enough strength to stand and walked over and gave the owner a kiss. I will be posting that image next. This image is dedicated to all the moms who have struggled and given the most precious of all gifts ... life and love. Happy Mother's Day! CC

This is wonderful Carol ! I have witnessed the birth of a foal but it was a normal birth. Still it was a most amazing thing to behold. This is such a lovely image !! Beautiful and so fitting for Mother's day. So Happy Mother's Day to you !! HUGSSSSSSSS

Carol my dear friend this has such an emotional feeling for me so as you know....... your art made me cry again...wonderful done...thank you very much. I went yesterday back to see how the foal is right now, so please check this link....there you can see him standing, the last row it's Django the foal and his mother Roemba http://my-tree-of-life.com/english/horses.html I can tell you it was very touching to see his struggle, you saw all images....so you know what I am telling now.... soon I will be there again for a birth, within 2 weeks the next foal will be born..hopefully without all these stress Ilona
