Spring tulips With petals soft As angels wings Dancing sweetly Upon the wind Heaven scent From up above Blooming in the Colors of love. Credits: Another in my 'Language of Flowers' series, created in Photoshop CS using tulip photos, painting techniques, blended with a Heavenly Skies background by Ravnheart. Sunday I visited the Iris Farm down the mountain. I've been anxiously awaiting them for months, and to my disappointment not a single iris was blooming, due to the recent snowfall. However the day was not without flowers, as only a few blocks away in the quaint town of Boulder they were celebrating the annual Tulip Festival. Thousands of tulips were blooming in every color imaginable, some big and bold in bright oranges and golds, and others in soft pastels as delicate as angels wings. I couldn't help but be dazzled by their beauty, as well as amazed by the strength of this flower that didn't let the snow stop it from blooming. What a glorious gift. Hope you enjoy. CC

Tulips ... maybe their strength signifies true love as much as their gorgeous colours. Here I think Spring has actually arrived at last - I can sit outside without a jacket, and I'm deciding which bedding plants to put in my borders. I'll never tire of telling you how wonderful is your art. Mike
