Description

I 'caught' this fellow during lunch too! This is a Waterbuck male and I took the image in the Kruger National Park in South Africa. The females do not have horns. They have a very distinct white ring around their buttocks! I will look for a pic that shows this marking! They are also one of the larger antelope found in Southern Africa. *Image scanned from film negative* Thank you for stopping by and for any comments you wish to leave! Hugs, Carin xx

beautiful capture and animal. Still can't believe some people kill these creatures, chop their heads off and mount them on their walls. I'll take a photographer over a sport hunter any day.

You are uploading some fine shots Carin, this one is indeed splendid. I was thinking maybe an idea for another of my paintings!

What a majestic animal. Our world would be a far poorer place without creatures like this to behold. Great shot!

very nice, the out of focus framing in the foreground gives it a candid quality, like he's been caught and he knows it ;)

J'imagine que cela doit être impressionnant de se retrouver nez à nez face à une telle élégance...
