Description

Continued from Friday... We traveled through the cave slowly. From time to time, we'd come to a branch, or a choice of paths. Ellantara would stop, and consider which way to go, then smile at me and continue. So far, no goblins. "This isn't so bad" I thought, "we could even spend the night in here I guess.' As I completed this thought, I smelled a most revolting, rotten smell. "What in the world is that smell?" I asked in disgust. "Shush! Goblins!" she exclaimed. "I've been smelling them for some time now, I can't believe you just now smelled them". There was a shuffling noise ahead, and the sound of a rock skittering across the cave floor. Ellantara raised her bow, "Come out goblin" she commanded. A wizened, hideous creature emerged. He was unarmed. "Peace elf" he spat. "Put your bow down, there are hundreds of us here". In the darkness ahead, you could hear them shuffling and squirming. Ellantara aimed her arrow straight at his throat "If there are hundreds of you, why would I want to lower my bow goblin? Stand aside! My people have safe passage through this cave, as decreed by your king years ago when my people saved his wretched life!" The goblin hissed "Yes, your people have safe passage, but not that human! You may go, but he stays with us!" Suddenly I felt a cold, piercing dread, like a sliver of ice. "This human is under my protection goblin!" she said with authority in her voice. "Now stand aside, or I will use my elf magic!" The goblin bowed his head and shuffled aside. Up ahead you could hear hundreds of leathery feet shuffling aside in the darkness, forming a path. Ellantara turned to me. "Stay close, we must hurry". As we moved forward, the blue globe traveled ahead of us, illuminating a cave full of goblins. Some wore armor, most carried foul looking weapons. They all stank. And they were all staring at me, saliva dripping from their slavering mouths. So, hurry we did. To be continued... Using Winter200's Sprinkles character morphs and the textures from Mari_e17's Amanda character. Flo hair by Morphography. Elven strapped outfit by Aery Soul. Goblin from Sixus1. Other assorted freebies... Hope you enjoy this story. Comments welcome.
