Continued from yesterday... We plunged through the brush, farther and farther. We came to a clear, sparkling stream. Ellantara knelt down and cupped her hands to get a drink. She looked up at me, obviously thirsty. "Don't worry," she said, "it is safe, take a drink. Not like the polluted water in your world." I knelt down and took a drink. The water was cool, and delicious. I started drinking, and drinking. "It's wonderful" I said, water dripping from my mouth. Water had never tasted so good. "Not too much," she warned, it will make it difficult for you to travel". I wiped my dribbling chin with the back of my hand. "Let's go" I said. She turned and we started off again. The sun had started to set, and twilight was setting in. It was even starting to cool off. She looked concerned. "There is a faster way" she said and started out in a slightly different direction. We came to the mouth of a cave. "We will travel through this cave," she said. "It will take us under the mountain and save us a great deal of time." We started into the cave. As we got farther in, it got pretty dark, dark enough that I started to trip over rocks. She turned and saw that it was too dark for me, a mere human. "Movanata illumintara" she said delibrately. There was a flash, and a blue glowing orb appeared, floating in the air before and illuminating the cave. She turned to me and said "From this point on, you must follow me very, very closely. There are goblins in this cave, and they can be dangerous." Good grief I thought. Goblins. Well if I was going to be following an elf through a cave with Goblins, I might as well be following an elf that knew magic! That glowing orb trick was pretty cool.
