Description

Well, in one of my earlier images someone complained that his skin is too smooth.... I agree completely! So I made a complete new texture and that's the result ;o) First time that I used Depth of field in Carrara, though it's not much visible in this close-up, but anyway, I love how easy the settings are in comparison to my very early Poser-works..... (no more words needed). Textures on the beanie, shirt, D3, Scarf made by me. D3 - Daz Carrara 6 Pro PhotoImpact 12 Thanks for taking the time to have look and perhaps you even leave a short and honest feedback? It's highly appreciated! And thanks a lot for your kind words on my latest image "Observer - I'd turn ships for you"! Take care and hoist the colours high, ~Sassy~

Very nice! His skin and facial hair textures are excellent and it's a beautiful portrait. The only little thing not working for me is that the beanie would be tight on his head and forehead and wouldn't throw a shadow like this. Unless, I'm not seeing right and it's a headband?... No matter, he looks wonderful :)

You're right about the Beanie, louly! If I'd put it even more close to his head the hair would have poked through too much and then I woudln't have been able to postwork it. So I kept it that way. But thanks a thousand times for your honest comment - it's very highly appreciated!!!!! ~Sassy~

How'd you do that scarf??? Like Louise said the only thing I can see is the beanie, excellent texture.I ususally fool with the hair settings to get rid of the poke throughs.

Superb work on this texture, by making it "less smooth" did you create a bump map for the texture, or just rework the texture itself?

The only critic I can give is that the shadows for the hat shows that it's a bit far from his head even though a beanie should be closer. Outside of that, love the textures and light. His skin has the rough look of a man that spends ages outside which is cool. Well done! :D

Looks like you've been busy... and I must say the new texture is really good. The skin tones are very well done, as is the new bump map. Only thing I can suggest (that hasn't been covered... I hate being redundant) is that you might want to punch the bump up for the facial hair a bit... just to give it an added punch (or perhaps create a displacement map for that... never used Carrara, but I'd imagine it'd work like most other 3D apps and allow for displacement mapping). Lovely stuff Sassy... can't wait to see more.
