Description

A view over the northern part of the Kruger National Park. The Baobab tree on the hill must be several hundred years old and was a stop over for the African migrants on their way (on foot) to work on the gold mines, still almost 400 miles to go. I kept my eyes peeled and noticed that the following friends are close to a hundred fold in their uploads. Congratulations to you, I celebrate with you for this is about having fun too, you know: 700 - Shari 400 - Jodie 100 - Lynell
Thank you for comments and visits to my previous upload.thumb_1671167.jpg

Terrific POV, DOF and textural effects in this fine capture, Peit! Love that Baobab tree, which stands in stark contrast to the rest of the foliage. And, as for the hundred-fold postings, my 700th was just this last Saturday, May 12, 08.

A lovely landscape and the colour looks so interesting, though I'm glad I didn't have to walk 400miles. The Baobs are such great trees.

Looks like a very nice winding roadd which could be taken on rails by a stiffly suspended super car or to the blah, blah, blah of a single cylinder motorcycle backing down through a Dunstall meg. Heads up in any case, out of the car, unless it rains.
