Description
There is within me a light that shines oh so brightly.
It washes away my tears and fears without fail nightly.
It floats all about me and moves through my being.
It lifts my spirit and makes things in life worth seeing.
And yet this light from time to time seems to hide.
How can it elude me? How can I lose my guide?
But I fear not, for it is always within my reach.
It helps me with the lessons of love I'm about to teach.
With love I begin each brand new day.
With love I keep the night's darkness away.
With love I have learned the lessons of life.
With love I've known only joy and never strife.
With love I can bring power to my wondrous being.
With love this world I am more clearly seeing.
With love I make each friend a beautiful treasure.
With love I give their life a meaning of measure.
In all the world there isn't a better place to start.
For the meaning of love begins here in my heart.
So when you think in the darkness you should hide.
Reach into the depths of the oceans and into the tide.
For love is there just waiting to come to your side.
It will, if you let it, in your heart forever reside.
It matters not how it looks. It can be you... it can be me.
But rest assured that it is there for all the world to see.
I leave you now for but a moment of time.
Being with you has been oh so sublime.
And when you see the rainbows up in the sky.
Know that my heart and love are ever so nigh.
Think of me often and think of me with love.
Know that I am here in the stardust above.
Call my name ever so softly if you must.
I will send you love that you can always trust.
Tuck it away in the gentle folds of your heart
and with it each morning your life you can start.
It will be there for you forever.
Now isn't that oh so clever?
