Description
We had a small tornado move through our neighborhood last night. While the official weather folks are still quibbling over whether it was a tornado or merely "tornadic winds", my storage shed has a clear opinion on the matter.
But everyone here is OK. We were all hunkered down in the storm shelter, and the house didn't get hit very badly. So here's my official plug for the shelter. Check out Tornado Guard. If you live in the central U.S., you should build one into your next house.
Anyway, my postings will be light for the next week or two as I deal with the aftermath here and gear up for one of my big festivals, but hopefully I'll come back from that with lots of bodypainting pictures.

Wow, great a dramatic demolition job! We had one tornado here back when my kids were tiny (very rare in this part of NJ) and we just headed for the basement when we heard a freight train roaring through the backyard (and we live in the middle of the woods!) No damage but we had a backyard full of toys, of all things..never figured out where they came from, but the kids figured it was Santa, come early.

Very glad your alright, looks like it was a pretty windy night! Your post gave us a fright, but I think I'll go and have a bite (of dinner that is... ) And what was that about 'body painting'??? ^_^
