Oh yeah, this is IT~~the most awesome thing I've ever done. That's me on the right in yellow with the big grin on my face, and my son behind me, with a matching face~~
I didn't take this foto, one of the "camera girls" from the rafting company stands on the road above each Class 4 rapid and takes as many pix as she can. I can't thank her enough for capturing this moment.
We're on the Merced River, in El Portal, about 15 miles west of the entrance to Yosemite. The water is cold,, barely above 50 degrees, we're in wet suits and special jackets to keep relatively dry.
It was FUN!!!

I completely agree with your sentiment. White water rafting is the most exciting, fun thing I've ever done. The girl who took the photo did a great job. Really happy for you - it's great to have an experience like that which you can remember your whole life.

The varied expressions on everyone's faces are actually quite interesting...they give a great "you are there" sort of feeling to this.
