Description

I've been a big fan of the concept artist Derek Riggs since a long time. If you don't know who Derek Riggs is, he's the artist who invented Iron Maidens mascot Eddie. If you don't know the band Iron Maiden, I suggest you do a google or something ;) Anyways....Derek Riggs have done a lot more than just cover art for Iron Maiden and other bands. He is phenomenal when it comes to fantasy and that sort of art. And his landscapes are always stunning. I guess you could say that this render is similar to what he's doing with a pen and paper in a lot of ways. You will often find towers in different shapes, barely connected to each other in an empty space. The buildings I've used here were originally made by Chikako, and then I ruined them a bit by adding a displacement mat to them. The rest is mine as usual. Glad you liked my hilltop the other day :D I'm still fiddling with GeoControl, even if I haven't used it for this render today. Thank yous for comments and thanks for peeking in :D

Well,I for one like it. remind me of his work for Strativarius album cover ( i just seen it online about an hour ago:P) And the sky is lovely. as is the lighting angle(; A well choreographed scene.

Very good. I like the simplicity of the setting and the composition. Well done. I know Iron Maiden well but, for some strange reason, I had never investigated the author of their covers. I went to his site and I was amazed. So, many thanks for this hint!
