Thank you for visiting my Gallery and any comments or critiques are welcome.
Â
I started this adventure in March of 2008 with a desire to realize in images some of my writing that mainly focused on cause and affect of how changes to events in history, technology etc would affect the development of the world around us. 3D art has also increased my interest in mathematics - and how the physics of light and form have been modeled on the computer.
Tools: Bryce, DAZ 3D Studio, Hexagon, GIMP and UVMapperPro. I have been looking at options to create normal maps and to bake AO into the textures.
On Comments:
Thank you to all who have left comments on my images, favoured my images and myself as an artist and sent me friend invites. A special thank you for those that have left comments about what they do not like and what I may do to improve my images. As I am self taught these comments help me improve my work.
I do not have an insightful comment for every work of art I view that often a Hi I was here and appreciated what you have done is of distinct value.
Favorite Artist: Artist that I like the work that they do for a multitude of reasons. It does not mean I will comment on everything they release or even like everything they release. It does mean that I want to be able to look at every thing they release!
3D Art: What must the artist put into an image to claim it as their own instead of the reshuffling of the work of others? This question I find very relevant when considering some of the excellent work that is available as 'props'. These questions have driven me to learn how to work with textures and create/change models so that I can endeavour to put something of my own creation into the images IÂ publish.
Thanks again

I have been in the "meatloaf" hangar at Moffett NAS that was an airship hangar before it was host to P-3s. It is an example of wooden sturcture as elaborate as a roller coaster. Yours seems to depend on steel vertical trusses. The window treatment alone is worth the view.

Tallpindo, I would like to see an actual hanger. Mine is a combination of different elements I have found. The Airship Heretage Trust has been my main source of inspiration. The sheds at Howden and Cardington, UK seemed to be made of metal trusses - I was actualy unsure as to how the skin was constructed other then it appeared to be painted in one picture and in anouther maybe metal sheeting. The windows where inspired by among others the shed the USS Shenadoah was built in - NAS Lakehurst N.J.. I will look for the one at Moffett NAS that sounds very interesting thank you. EWS

Great work! Very interesting hanger structures. The background could have a little bit more modeling, but this is not a problem. The hanger is in the center, and it is wonderful!
