Description
Captured 2/23/08, very early in the morning, about .62 miles/1 kilometer from my heavenly hovel.
The top and bottom shots are of the same plant, the only difference being the camera's proximity to the object.
Incidentally, the unseasonable repetitious heat waves we've been experiencing here in April and May have literally decimated our beautiful flowers, be they camellias, lilies, roses, elephant ears, etc. Temps are often in the triple digits fahrenheit. It's about 94F at this very moment - 1:40 PM. It's usually cool and overcast in the morning during this time of year, but not this time. It's bad enough rarely having rain, but isn't this pushing it a bit? Hey, did someone just say, global warming?
Thanks for stopping by, and have a superlative Saturday.

Very nice capture.

I had succulents by the fence behind my pool. The kitties thought they made an excellent litter box. This one looks pristine in it's artichoke green flower head.
