My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

I'm glad you are back home so that you can now download your pictures and share them with us. I love seeing Oregon through the eyes of its vistors. This is one of the best all time bird shots ever. I've never seen a poor bird look this bedraggled. This is rather how I felt after my physical therapy this morning ...I can really identify with the poor thing.

Man is this thing alive lol. Well you got back just in time to cool down. Sounds like a good time was had, can't wait to see the trip pics. So rest up and enjoy the cool weather lol.

Oh yeah, smart bird...it meekly obeyed the robber when he shouted "hands up, and gimme yur money!" Kind of hard to do when you have your wings raised. Either that, or it's saying, "come on over here Tara, and I'll give you a big hug!" Anyway, I think this is a pretty good capture of the heron. I like the textured ocean lapping at the shore. And 991 shots during your sabbatical? Happy postwork, my dear! Can we say, 20-picture collages? Anyway, get some needed rest, so you can unbedraggle yourself to post nonstop shots of your junket.
