Description

Hunting sunsets recently after being inspired by Renderosity photographers doing fantastic work, I was out again one evening and as I was about to retire, this Boeing passed overhead stealing part of the show. I bet it was as stunning from above as it was down below. I trust you all had a fabulous weekend doing all the fun stuff like me. A big hug to you all, for the week ahead:

OMG, when this picture came up I thought I was looking at a photo from the Shuttle orbiter! It appeared that the sky was an ocean of water, the clouds were islands, and that the landscape was actually outer space. Great capture of the Boeing airliner as it soars high above.

Beautiful sunset and perspective, Piet. I have occasionally been on a plane that was flying into a sunset, and yes, it is as beautiful from above, and the best part is that it lasts so long, too.

exceptional sky Piet and capture. Saturday I was on the highway and there was a sunrise that stretched across the whole sky. I was afraid to stop on the interstate to get my camera from the trunk.by the time I got to a vantage point it was gone

The skys above my home were once filled by the cons (contrails) of B-36's. Commercial airliners now find that level occasionally. The bombers shifted to treetop level. A nostalgic premonition that I'll see it again.

The colors are simply amazing! Hoping to get out soon and chase a few sunsets myself, but for me they won't look nearly this good unless I hit them with Photoshop, lol!
