Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I can just imagine how grand a feeling it must be to stand beneath these trees and be covered by their canopy. Amazing captures, Marilyn.

The tree is definitely different, but the POV employed is sure familiar. I like the backlighting of the leaves, and the weird trunk in the right photo looks like a vertical stack of doughnuts.

Oooooooh! Oooooh, I like this! Kinda reminds me of a Nemaean Caxa tree...only less dangerous. Eh...don't ask. You'll probably be reading about Caxas soon and don't be surprised if they look suspiciously like something you just photographed. This is a gorgeous composite of images, with a fantastic capture of light and shadow as well as color! Great stuff!

Lovely POV. The Tamarack tree is a relative of the Tamarack larch that is used in the making of Bonsais!!!
