Hi all,
I just had to write something about what is happening in one of the forums. Two people having a discussion about a topic and how they are trying to get the other to see their point of view...
Quite amusing at times... LoL
I know the poem needs refining but this is the raw unedited version. (running out of time here..)

--------
Those harsh and nasty thorns
That dig into the flesh.
Own expressions of dischord
That fail to properly mesh.
Why must one be so very wrong
while the other, oh so surely right
When the very same situation
Is viewed from a different sight.
Can there be no common ground
like sharing the same pale moon
Or walking upon the very earth
thats heading for rebellion soon.
So instead of fighting for right to speak
A war won long ago,
Let's move ahead onto something worth
The energy you both do show
From asking a simple question
We find both sides of life
Don't argue with each other, boys,
Cause there's already far too much strife.....

And in the end... life is not a dress rehersal... you only get one shot at it.. why waste it on people... THAT DON'T SEE YOUR POINT OF VIEW.... LOL... nice to see you break away from the book for a while sweets!

I'm not sure that discussion [provided it doesn't descend into argument] is such a bad thing. Sometimes sameness [even of opnion] is tediously boring. I'm a great fan of difference, and enjoy talking with people who don't share the same views as me. That way conficts can be resolved and not shoved under the carpet to fester. I enjoyed your poem: as always it is nicely structured and appropriately worded. Mike

Great words, sometimes you might as well beat your head against a wall, but it can make for some interesting times!!
