Description

Well our first day spent in the rain forest is over. We've had a good nights sleep and now head over to the lodge for breakfast, then down to explore the beaches. We even have a little blue sky showing today. This is an inlet from the ocean right in front of the Kalaloch lodge. Hope you are enjoying the trip so far:) Thanks for stopping by, for all the great comments, support and favs...Take care:0)bonita

Don't forget to visit Ruby Beach to the north about 5-6 miles. It's a spectacularly rocky beach with impressive waves at high tide. Plus, if the smelt are running, you'll enjoy watching them in the surf (and the accompanying seals who feed on them). Watch out for the huge slugs! Oh! Nice photo, by the way.

I keep scanning the water for the sight of beavers here. Its just the sort of place I'd expect beaver, muskrat, and nutria. Gorgeously peaceful shot.

Beautiful place, Bonita. This should be fun; I didn't have time to explore the beaches when I was there.

Such smooth reflective water! Do you suppose this place was named some Scottsman? I'm loving your trip, you have such an excellent eye in capturing such magical shots!
