Description

I have mentioned before that we have a bird sanctuary about two to three miles as the Heron flys and that they have a large number of breeding pairs. This one was perched on a close neighbours roof, the picture was taken from my back yard. The blighter was eyeing up my fish pond. Last week we had the netting damaged by something, we didn't see what it was, and lucky no fish disapeared. I took several shots of this, but this was the best. The tree behind the Heron is home to a couple of Magpies and they are very territorial. I took a shot of one of them attacking the Heron but I was laughing so much at the antics of the Magpie the shot was toatally shaken up. The Heron did leave though and in quite a hurry. Thanks for stopping by for a look and for any comments you care to leave. Thanks also for your continued support, I know I haven't been around much of late but I will try and catch up with you as and when I can. May the sun shine down on those of you that want it, and may the rain clouds gather for those of you that need the water. Wouldn't it be nice if we could control the weather, so that it only rained when we wanted it to. Through the night would be ideal.
