Description

I also thought of titling this "Pick Up Sticks", because it looks like someone just threw these logs down to play with!! This is on the upper Merced River, west of Yosemite. It's the place my son and I walked last week** before I left. Zoom in to almost hear the roar of the water!! **click here

Even tho that seems tame there, the white water tells me it is something you don't want to get caught up in. Gorgeous capture and looks like an ideal place for beavers to build.

Well this is one area I would not wish to paddle my canoe, love the title Marilyn, I wonder how long the logs have been there? how they got there? Was it logging further up stream? Lots of questions raised, I love these type of shots that get the old grey matter going. I love to give my thought process out although I don't expect answers. Superb work, I don't know how you can hike this far and take pics as well, I would be too cream crackered. Bravo!!!!!

This is beautifully captured! The foamy, white water is amazingly caught! Perfect composition as well! I can hear the roar of the water and the distant twitter of birds and other animals. Oh, I'd love to spend time there--especially with a particular Russian!
