Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

To be on tour is always nice. But it's also nice to come home, right!? Nice shots! Frank

great comforter you got on that bed. Was it cold at night still? I have heard of these cottages but I figured they were a little expensive - not as expensive as a hotel, but out of my range.

I don't think I have ever come across anything like this before Marilyn, what a great way to spend a few days. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!

LOL, here...at first glance, I thought that was Barger's own special sleeping quarters (a doghouse)...until I read the notation. That looks like a real fun experience and don't forget all of the wildlife which was peering about while you were sleeping...lions and tigers and bears, oh my!! Well, perhaps not lions and tigers...but I wanted to quote 'Dorothy'...seemed appropriate...lol

Marilyn, I truly believe and have expressed many times frankie96's quote, "home is where the heart is". Well done my friend...smiles

Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home... Very nice and spartan, with a pooch for protection. And, a wonderful and badly needed respite away from this insane, politically correct world.

What a glorious retreat Marilyn. I really envy you, but yet I am so happy that you had such a wonderful time! ::))

Kewl little place. I like it. Aloha

Gorgeous work here! You mentioned mosquitoes. Funny thing is you can probably get them avoid you by sitting a hunk of cheese out at a fair distance from yourself. Cheese smells like human sweat to mosquitoes and they go for it rather than you...if you can put it in a bug zapper then you can get a popping show! Great work with this image and your description of the place is outstanding.

I always wanted to know what those looked like inside! I'm headed there this weekend for a landscape photography workshop. My new in laws live in Mariposa so they are going to watch the hubby & kids for me ;-) (hubby just had carpal tunnel surgery)
