Description

Captured back in 11/4/07, around 6:45 AM, in beautiful downtown Los Angeles. It was foggy driving all the way from my place, with about a quarter of a mile visibility and fortunately very little traffic, to the beautiful California Plaza along Grand Avenue, where my goal, the annual Alzheimer's Memory Walk, was being held. More information concerning this event can be found under my previously posted "Hi-rise in the fog #1." And, as a fog lover, I couldn't have asked for more desirable circumstances to capture these hi-rise/skyscraper scenes. For better building detail view full size. Thanks for looking in, and have a fondly functional Friday.

What GREAT shots here!! Reminds me of when I used to work on the 25th floor of the IDS tower in Minneapolis. Sometimes my head was in the clouds ;) Have a terrific weekend! :)

These have yet to be tested by an earthquake. The ones with rollers over 9 stories tall came after I lived there through 1978. It was easy to buy used brick after earlier shakes. The Northridge is the first that came later.

Very nicely done, Harry! Great pov, of course, and superb how you have captured so well how the building tops just disappear into the fog!

Oh wow. These are both fantastic! Maybe your best yet. (Although the other ones were pretty spectacular!) I love the way the light hits the one on the left, making it look like a flat, 2-D version of a building. WAY cool! Excellent images, my dear.
