Description

Look what I've found in my cactus garden ? a foul-smelling Starfish flower, from the Milkweed family of Africa, ASCLEPIADACEAE. (just to be nerdy !) This flower usually attracts flies and...moi ! *BB*

Lovely captures of this facinating little flower and I can see why you like growing it even though it doesn't smell very nice. Jeff's right about the black tar like stuff. I haven't seen this little fellow before.

This flower is both hideous and beautiful- nature's yin/yang! Again, I am amazed by the variety of plant and wildlife that exists where you guys live, this photograph is both a treat for the eyes and educational.
