Description
These Coal Cars were used by the Roslyn Cascade Coal co. locally known as Patrick's mine located just outside Ronald. ( About 3 miles north of Roslyn ) This mine was a private company and not connected to the NWI Co. mines. It was started by Archibald Stewart Patrick one of the members of the original prospecting team sent here by the Northern Pacific Railroad to find Coal in 1886. Notice the difference in design from the NWI Co. cars, Thomas Murphy could haul more Coal in his design. The last car shows Coal as would have come out of the mine mixed with rock that was later seperated at the Tipple building.
