Description

I took this one in the gardens at the Biltmore Estate, and I did not get the name, so I had noticed that Andrea (durleybeachbum) had identified another flower on a post so thought I would put her to the test. To me it looks like a girl going to a dance, and I think she is even wearing a cowboy hat. Lets see if Andrea can identify this one for us. LOL ..

Update, on my foot and car, well I am still hopping around I was told to keep my foot flat when I walk on it and I am sure trying but ouch. And the car is getting fixed this afternoon, since Mick wouldn’t fly out and do it for me LOL, I would have made him lunch and everything, and I am an excellent cook. Maybe I should have mentioned that yesterday. LOL. Have a great day everyone, thanks for your support.

I'm afraid it looks more like a rodeo clown to me than a beautiful cowgirl, the flower is beautiful so don't get me wrong. It's just that I see a little golden rounded hat and spiky stickyout hair and a bowtie. You know I'm a clown anyhow and it looks like my brother. Excellent capture Lynell, glad someone was able to identify it for you. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

You can becomea detective after you learn how to walk flat footed. There was a career move here. No dancing and especially no stomping your foot when someone says your secret name.

I'd have to admit, that I've never seen such a unique and original species before, but it sure is beautiful and most interesting to behold. Excellent colours and a beautiful presentation!

It is an orchid in the genus Psychopsis, but I can't tell which species it is (there are 3, I think) or hybrid.
