Description

The general public as I call them(i'm one myself) tend to get in the way whenever they can. They insist on staying with the subject you have your eye on for as long as possible. So I had to take the shot then use it the best way I can think of. Hence the title, two german soldiers checking workers for their papers, a common enough scene in France during the occupation. It's a pity his modern clothing gives the game away. Postwork involved changing to sepia tone then running it through colour film proscessing with a yellow colour shift(for those of you interested). Thanks for stopping by and for your continued support, I have been a little busy and not commenting as much as I would like to, I am endevouring to catch up though. May the sun shine down on those that need it and may the rain fall for those that need that. I have not given this a violence rating as I am unsure about it. If it needs one please give it one.

Lol. this title! ROFLMAO! This fella deserved to be taken away....etc etc. The shot I got of these soldiers was totally ruined by this guy insisting on talking to them for an eternity and I deleted it as worthless. I'm pretty impressed with how you have dealt with the situation here because without the postwork he stands out like a sore thumb. I keep laughing out loud to myself every time I think of some the hillarious remarks you made while we were there. lol.

Modern clothing aside, your postwork has put this right in the period as it should be. Outstanding.

Oh maybe he was just a guy ahead of his time, and that's why he was stopped and questioned. :o) Excellent image, even though the time is more modern.

Ticklish for a german to see this.... Very well done. The sepia tone masks this modern clothing (made in China I think...LOL) of the poor guy in the middle... "HALT! KONTROLLE!"

A wonderful shot and postwork Jeff. Boy, can I identify with you, as to people (the general public) standing in your way when you want to take THAT perfect picture. I encounter that primarily at airshows where I don't want anything in the picture except the aircraft. If you would not have pointed it out, I would not have recognized the civilians modern clothing. But I don't think German soldier had those comfortable shiny shoes during the war. Nevertheless, pictures like this always make me feel kind of uncomfortable. Sig...
