Description

I have all kinds of these flowers in my yard; they reseed themselves and survive just about any kind of weather. They're called calendulas, and also come in yellow, though I don't like those nearly as well as these orange ones. Zoom in for a REALLY close look!!

Beautiful light on these, and yes, they keep coming back, year after year, but mine eventually decided they out-lived their usefullness and are gone.

Lovely flowers - my mother used to call them 'St. Clements' [after the nursery rhyme -'oranges and lemons, say the bells of St. Clements']. Mike

Well, ma'am, you did yourself real proud on this one, yessiree Bob! A combination of fine clarity coupled with soft orangey blends in this terrific macro, Marilyn! The lovely calendula really pops out against the dark background and surrounding foliage.
