Description

We left Prineville and drove up into the hills to see a lake Jill particularly likes, but the road was still closed. After being in 95-degree heat all day, it was weird to see snow! We turned around and went back to Jill's, where I took a few pictures and then took a nap. This sunflower, along with some of its friends, was near a window in Jill's kitchen. I know there are those of you who will enjoy a break from all the high desert photos!

Utterly sharp clarity depicted in this macro of the huge pistil, my good friend! In fact, the whole shot is wonderful, with those vivid colors and textures to drool over. Now, back to bed to finish your nap.
