Description

If anyone can help me name this plant I will be most grateful. I believe it to be a member of the tulip family. It grows in my garden. Thank you for looking and treasured comments. Have a lovely day. Hugs. Diane.

Diane, I had this once and I've just been trying to track it down in my book. It be could tulip turkestanica if it's got hairyish stems, but I don't remember the petals being that pink. Anyhow, as someone above says, it doesn't matter, it's a lovely macro! hope you are well, Andrea.

Beautiful shot! It is a tulip, (I have these in my garden)and it often grows 'doubly', the stem dividing near the earth into two, and then there appear to be two separate flowers. I've been trying to name mine for years, so do share if someone tells you!

I'm sure you are right and its of the tulip family. the center composition is a give-away. As to the type, Perhaps Henk knows. He's a genuine tulip fan. This is a lovely macro of it though. I think you have peaked my interest, though, in those little bold blue flowers behind it. :-)
