Automatic translation Phe wanted to upload a picture special for me, in a special day, because yesterday reaches 10,000 visits to my gallery. Uf, strong!. And that responsibility, from now, knowing so many eyes watching my pictures!. Thanks to all and all once again for the honour that I do. The lighthouse The End of the World Despite the peace and serenity that shows the image, there is no mistake, Cape Vilan (also called Vilana or Villano, the latter name gives reason for its essence) is anything but that. From he said could be the place where the prince Hamlet built his castle. Flogging relentlessly by the winds, its stones have been eroded to be authentic knives for the keels of the boats. We are at the heart of the Costa de la Muerte (Heart of Darkness). Hundreds of ships have sunk in these waters, some of the most dangerous in the world for coastal shipping. Every year there is a maritime disaster. The greatest impact was on the Prestige, whose fuel (oil spill) poured from Gibraltar to France, caused the Tide white, thousands of volunteers around the world were mobilized to clean their hands with what the modern pirates and mercenaries were defiled and about to destroy forever. One of the last paradises. The most romantic was the Serpent, in the late nineteenth century. The Serpent was an English ship that path towards India with the pay of the colonial troops. Turning Vilan, between the capes of Veo and roasted, almost 300 people lost their lives a night in which he unleashed the forces of Hell. The inhabitants of stocks turned around by car or on foot in their distress, but had little to do except dig a mass grave where burial to give irreconocibes few dimensions of human remains. The English government, thanks to volunteers, a gift to the mayor of Camarignas shotgun, a watch and to cure the Serpent barometer of the people (even kept in an urn exposed on the streets). Today, in Cove Thirteen, under the watchful eyes of Lighthouse Vilan, as a powerful Guardian Angel, resting its challenges even in a tiny mound. The place, relentlessly plagued by the wind northwest, shows a profound loneliness and a distant sadness that contrasts with the wild beauty of the surroundings. At the holidays, during the procession of the Sea, reaching this area funeral wreaths are cast into the sea in memory of those shipwrecked and all those killed by the sea. Also the British Navy has continued to launch salvos of honor when passing by. In its report, and as a token of appreciation to all volunteers world's ecological and humanitarian causes, is dedicated this image.
