This is a Speckled Wood butterfly, Mick. It's a great shot, shows its markings off really well. I spent a fruitless half hour following one round the garden!! The caterpillars feed on various grasses and the adult sips mainly honeydew in the treetops. When they close their wings they look so much like a dead leaf they virtually vanish. Such a good shot!

Who's a clever boy then? Mick is of course! Excellent macro mate, you are really getting into this close up work, and getting good results as well. I've been out in the garden doing jobs today, and came across a nest of tiny spiders, newly hatched out, there was about twenty of them about 2/3 mm each and an orange colour, trouble was I was covered in wood preserve and no way was I going to touch my camera. Started to rain a bit so will have to wait til tomorrow now, bet theyv'e scarpered. Superb work with this one though pal. Bravo!!!!!
