Description

Captured 4/2/08, very early in the morning, within walking distance of my dormant dwelling. If I had indulged in some extensive research, I may have learned the name of this beautiful species, but, as is often the case, I didn't have the time. Sorry about that. In any event, I know there's gotta be someone out there in the viewing audience that can identify the above, probably right off the bat. Thanks for coming by on this bright and sunny Thursday.

Andrea will know for sure. I learned it last year, and have forgotten! I think maybe a zinnia? Whatever they are, your photographs of them are quite stunning! I love the light, and the clarity is awesome! Nicely done, my dear!

I agree with Marilyn! Super sunny shots. You can eat these, they're also called Pot-marigolds.

Thanks a ton, Andrea and Marilyn! I knew someone would come through. I checked it out and these beauties are known technically as Calendula officinalis, aka English marigold and Pot marigold.
