Description

Open them pearly gates! Captured 5/27/08, around 7:15 AM, about 1.3 miles/2.1 kilometers from my heavenly hovel. Anyone out there willing to take a stab at identifying these blooms? It would be appreciated. I sure couldn't find any reference on them. The flower is very small, which explains why the water drops -- courtesy of a sprinkler system -- look so large. Have a happy-go-lucky hump day!

I'm no authority, but they look kind of like some species of day lily; I used to have some similar at my house in Northern California.

Great shots Harry. The water droplets add to this photo. (I have a similar "flower" in my gallery, I never knew what it was called!)

Beautiful captures, my friend! The water drops are wonderful, especially along the edges. I don't know what they are, but from the foliage in the background, I would say they have to be related to lilies or iris ... sorry I can't be more help. They sure are pretty, whatever they are! :)
