Hello !
Another break in the Lilac series. I promise there will be more lilacs tomorrow. This is something different today. Something I worked with couble of days ago.

Weather here is still so nice, but it will be very warm later..about 27 Celcius. Too much for me.

Really interesting texture, and use of diffused color. This is very different from you but has a magical sense to it. What a delightful use of various artistic techniques. I like the way you guide my eye through your image.

A different one, yes, byt lovely lilac, and as a copycat I also agree with the others about the texture and interresting composition. Btw too hot here too for diving deep down in my brain LOL Be a good watcher of the bluebird babies!!!!!

What a lovely mood you've created! The figure is beautifully done, and the texture gives this a nice tactile feel. The light and dark shades and different colors make me feel like there's a pulse to the piece ... like a heartbeat, or like thoughts floating by. Very nicely done!

Your use of color and color combinations is once again brilliant. It supplies much of the mood as well as the marvelous composition you've given it. It has a stationery subject but the surroundings seem to move past...the subject has no control to stop the moment and so hangs on to it as long as possible so as not to lose it altogether. Love this one.

I agree with tara, suzanne and phil456 that the texture, itself, is wonderful; it has a Klee-like quality. It's very rich. You said you were taking a break from lilacs, but this image seems to have flowers all over it. Everything in it seems like flowers; in fact the background itself seems like a microscopic shot of a flower-petal. (It could also pass for a really nice leaf of iceberg lettuce!) It's all very organic, and in the middle, a person in contemplation. Lots of life in this 'lingering moment', and It's always nice to see your paintings again...I guess your photographs just had to take a day off and go shopping for stamens or something...
