I am no longer active here. Too many restrictions and unpleasant interactions with admin.
In addition I now focus on traditional art, which is very neglected on this site.

About my Art - Watercolor, Poser &Vue I have been painting mainly with transparent watercolor on paper. Most of my paintings depict hypothetical situations and imaginary scenes, striving to capture ideas and moods rather then a resemblance to specific places or people. On many occasions more than one way forward suggest themselves either from the onset or during the painting process. I like to explore these possibilities in different paintings and thus I have several ongoing themes (Some examples of themes I worked on are shown in the image above). I started useing Poser and then Vue mainly to set up virtual models and/or scenes which are then painted in watercolor. The CG images were supposed to be only an intermediate stage, but I now got the CG bug, and I'm trying to make these images a 'product ' on their own accord. Feedback is really very important to me. I appreciate any form of it: comments on the impact the images had on you (or saying it had none), things you enjoyed, things you hated, any artistic aspects - (composition, color, lights & shadows etc.) - any technical comments( eg Poser/Vue issues) and anything else you find relevant. If you dont know a lot (or at all) about Watercolors, Poser or Vue, please dont let it deter you from leaving a comment. Just comment on what you see and what it made you feel or think. You could also ask questions, and if I know how to answer - I will.

A very imaginative scene, the colour and the pose of the bride suggest a kind of sadness, like an unhappy romantic love story ............

Fantastic scene and wonderful work.

Very Surrealistic!!!

I like it, it has a dreamy feeling. A wild dream. I like what you've done with the fish and the mech, all very imaginative. The couch looks great. The jellyfish seem to belong to that sky. As to what this means to me... well, it generally helps to translate the image to words. Let's see... There's a girl sitting on a satin couch in the middle of a purple desert, impatiently waiting for her mech buttler to catch some flying fish. She seems to have more than one couch so this desert could be her home. I can tell she's impatient by her closed right fist and her slanted pose. The mech seems to be in a hurry, and I'm not surprised, that lady isn't there just for fun...

Great surrealistic scene. Well done.

I'm blank. It's good. I had tragic news overnight and apparently I can't think right. The piece is trying to talk to me, but anxiety had made my muse deaf and blind. I;ll look again in a week or so.

The perfect image! Remarkable idea! An excellent composition! This work of art very much is pleasant to me!

A very peculiar though common situation these days; the characters are facing the same circumstance, but they do not communicate. She doesn´t seem to be very excited about what he is doing; and he doesn´t concern about her indifference either. They coexist, but are not related. The only thing that seems to unite them is the circumstance of being at the same place _ I´m not sure if they are sharing the same time. Wonderful metaphor of personal relationships. It reminded me of Antonioni, master of the alienation, and of isolated people in modern world . From the technical point of view, it´s impeccably well made.

i love bogart137's comments, and i'd like to go further, and mention how the fish are ignoring both characters, but seem to be almost entirely in pairs. as if they represent a natural but idealistic pairing that places its actors outside and beyond their environment. the mechanical man's pursuit of the fish reminds me of a story called "The Wedding Cake Couple," which is about an ordinary (somewhat nebbishy) man married to a shrewish woman whose only joy is going to museums and desecrating masterpieces with nail polish. he's haunted by the perfect couple; he sees them every day no matter where he is. eventually their presence destroys him. i love how the chair seems reflective and metallic, like the man, and how the woman's pose and expression communicates a sort of numb hopelessness. the mechanical man is so awkward (is he falling apart?) that it seems impossible for him to catch one of the fish. i especially like the wave carved dunes and how they connect to fish. i also like the choice of fish over of butterflies. maybe it's just me, but i feel that fish have a more internal symbolism, perhaps because deep waters and oceans are supposed to represent the subconscious. i'm not sure how the mountains in the background fit into the story, but i'd be interested to hear. and just personally, i love the colors! beautiful work.

Great image. I like the organic feel to the ground.

What I think is an empty chair on the left almost looks like human limbs, someone crouching or kneeling.Like others, i sense a mood of disconnectedness, each creature trying to survive in a desert. The M3 head morphed onto the steam mech is a far out touch! Excellent.
