Description
Captured 10/28/07 at the Wings, Wheels, Rotors and Expo show held annually at the beautiful Joint Forces Training Base on the beautiful Los Alamitos Army Airfield in beautiful Los Alamitos, California.
Here it is, another expensive backyard labor of love, in all its glory. Besides chrome, it also includes brass components
Since it was not the featured subject in the top photo, I was going to blur out the red 1957 Chevy, but left it untouched because it is a majestic and revered classic.
Great detail if viewed full size.
Thanks for coming by, and have a serendipitous Sunday.

If I had to guess, I would say this started out in life as a 1923 Model T. There you have the limit of my knowledge - I can read the license plate. Other than that, my response to these shots is, "Ooooooooohh!! Pretty!!" I'm glad you left the background vehicles unblurred. They add context to your images, and you're right - that red '57 Chevy is a gorgeous machine! A wonderful trio of clear images sporting excellent points of view. Nice work, mi amigo querido!

An amazing disguise for an AFB. Enderle and Hilborn are famed air scoop makers it seems. I hope you won't take it too badly if I point out brass era is mostly pre-WW-I. What I think is important to a modeller is that this one has simple wraps and angles that can be done in an Extrusion cubic spline modeller and the one yesterday from a later era requires a Vertex modeller for the complex curves. Real experts will point out that sub-division surfaces is required to get the quality of finish in either within practical memory bounds for real time rendering. Whether the body is a fibreglass reproduction or Swedish steel or original is important to title as the VIN as it existed in the 40's on this make was stamped in the firewall and not the engine. Smog and safety law goes by year of manufacture without regard for what it looks like. A new car car is anything made from all new parts regardless of the architechture.
