Description

This was an exercise in creating a forest setting in bryce 6.0...the large tree trunks were created in the terrain editor, the terrain is also created in the terrain editor, duplicated and carved, then rendered in a foliage preset.Various foliage and another tree were created in the tree editor, and the ferns are from the Faerie Forest from Daz3d.To convey the effect of sunlight streaming through the canopy above,I positioned a radial light as close as I could to sit in front of the sun, rendered in a foliage preset which produced the varying light and shade without having to add any more trees.Postwork involved a minor saturation boost, noise filter and signature. Thanks for viewing and comments!

I think you can call this a very successful test. Great job, pretty darn convincing.

Very interesting experiment and quite a successful render. The forest looks ancient.

Excellent. The foliage in Bryce always frustrated me, but you've done a grand job here. Also great terrain and texture work.
