Mxygymqx Online is a collaborative effort between the original artist who hand-drew the strip and the digital artist 'Turin_Returns'. The strip was rendered with pen on sepia paper between 1983-1986. In the process of digitally restoring the strip 'Turin_Returns' has endeavoured to remain as true as possible to the tone and 'feeling' of the original drawings. You may request a reply from the artist, the restorer or Mxygymqx himself. ************* Turin says - "This strip has taken the longest time to restore so far. I added shading to the strip to replace the depth that the original sepia version of the strip had. However I had to make a template of the artist's hand-drawn lines and had to blend it in to my shading. I use Micrografx and Corel Paint to perform these takes manually. I really need to buy Photoshop!" The Artist says - "This strip has changed considerably since I drew it over 25 years ago. I really like the 'blurred' effect in panel 2 that gives a depth of field perspective to the image. Originally, it was difficult to make out that Mxygymqx was above the ground on a 'sunbeam'. I am very keen on seeing the finished versions of the more detailed later strips.
