Description

Down the local skate park got some guys together for an impromptu skate photoshoot. Setup - flash subject right, fisheye (cropped it), skater who can actually pull this trick, and a quick hand to pull the camera away should the trick go wrong ;) First proper go with using a flash in sunlight as a fill light. Some pretty good results, as well as a bit of learning about things. More to come in the next few days. Enjoy! Rich

Fantastic stop action. I really like the fisheye affect too. My eldest grand daughter is a skateboarding freakazoid. My grandson used to be before he got into dirt bikes. Between the two, though, I have wanted to photograph them at play. Bringing the action to the front like this in an interesting manner is such a challenge and you seem to have met it here very well. Thanks for the hint on the flash for fill...I might not have figured that out until I got home and downloaded my shots. :-)

very impressive fisheye shot, and very trusting of you to be confident about the skill of the Skateboarder. Fantastic fast action!

Applause for the fast trigger action, the top notch framing and the more than correct use of the flash ;o)
