I have an Oak and leather suit Jocko also a solid Oak coffee table, I mentioned the other day about my daughter, she loves to sit bare foot and just rub her feet along the polished Oak. The coffee table is that strong I can stand on it to change a bulb, I sit on it many a time when visitors come. It also saddens me that a fine Oak tree had to be cut down so that I might own Oak furniture, but I also know I will never need to buy another, It will outlive me by quite a few years. Superb set of pictures of this wonderful spreading Oak Jocko, an ancient tree with a long history no doubt, I would say at the least 200 years old. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!

Ooooh Jock! this is beautiful! I wish we had these old live oaks around here, but I think we are too far north. Maybe with this climate change we'll have some growing here before too many centuries pass, LOL

If there is one thing that Louisiana has , it's some of the finest huge live oak trees in the south. Thanks for posting this, I'm smiling as I remember how beautiful these are.
