Description

I went down by the lake last weekend as yet another storm was rolling in. This one missed us, but got the cities(Golden Valley) with more hail and more hail damage to many cars & homes etc. Jodie's new car was a victim of that one; it's sad to see so much damage due to storms this year. One even killed a 2 year old.

Love the framing and the drama- the deck extending into water, land and sky.

What a lovely lakeside scene [I have a fondness for the waterside] ... the clouds rolling in seem to portend some drama to come. This is beautifully presented and the eye is led into the picture so effectively by the landing. I admire your skill immensely. Hugs, Mike

Great image and sky! For me the pontoon boat is a slight distraction. I would have liked just the pier, the lake and that wonderful sky!

How can something so beautiful also be so deadly... and yet that is often the case. Excellent capture, Shari.

Great clouds in this and the long view down the pier is great too. I agree that there are many sad events lately all connected to weather in some way.

Wow... such a happy & familiar sight. Makes me want to run and leap off the end like the good old days. My grandparents had a private cabin, boat house and beach area on Carnelian Lake near Powder Ridge when I was a kid. "sigh" Now, I'm all melancholy. Thanks for the link up there. You're so sweet.

Good lawd! Jodie/odie had another vehicle mishap? I didn't know that! Anyway, a fabulous, fantastic display of perspective, light, dark, contrast, clarity, color and reflectivity in this splendid composition, Sharilyn. This is really stunning. And, why don't you come up and see me sometime, STRANGER.
